9”x12” high quality print.
Artist Statement: Created in honor of my fiftieth year, this piece emerged as both a celebration and a declaration — a visual synthesis of the symbols that have walked with me, shaped me, and awakened within me over time.
At its center stands a vertical axis: part staff, part spine, part key. It carries the imprint of lineage and evolution, with a double helix woven into its core — a reminder that awakening is not separate from the body or from ancestry. We are both inheritance and transformation.
The eye, held within sacred geometry, represents embodied sight — not the seeking of truth, but the integration of it. This is the gaze that comes after experience, after shadow, after reclamation. It is perception rooted in presence.
Surrounding the central form are golden spheres — suns, cells, portals — marking cycles completed and wisdom earned. Gold speaks to alchemy: the refinement that happens through time, through fire, through living fully. At fifty, the gold is not aspiration. It’s embodiment.
The organic field that holds the structure suggests both shield and womb — protection and creation — honoring the balance of strength and surrender that defines this season of my life.
This piece is a threshold marker. A remembrance. A key.
It honors the woman I have been, the lineage I carry, and the sovereign self I now stand as.
