So Loved Print

11”x14” high quality print.

Artist Statement: “So Loved” is a visual honoring of the unseen support that accompanies us through the thresholds of life. The nine blackbirds form an open circle, symbolizing a council of witnesses rather than distant observers — a quiet affirmation that we do not walk our path alone. These birds represent my light family, whose presence has appeared throughout seasons of initiation to remind me that I am held, guided, and beloved beyond the visible.

At the center sits a nine-pointed star encircling a Celtic knot, referencing eternal bond and continuity across realms. The number nine is encoded throughout the piece as a symbol of completion, remembrance, and return. In numerology, nine marks the culmination of a cycle before transcendence, and it is also my own numerological signature — traced through my birth, naming, and personal mythology. Here, nine becomes both architecture and affirmation: that lineage extends beyond blood, and that love exceeds time.

The red thread weaves throughout the composition, acting simultaneously as connection, lineage, and as a symbol of breaking boundaries. Stitching and embroidery move beyond ornament to imply care, continuity, and devotion — a love that is sewn into place. Hand-stitched text completes the message: so loved.

Through this work, I explore the idea that belonging is not and has never been confined to the physical world. We are accompanied in ways that are subtle, ancient, and ongoing. This piece invites viewers to consider the possibility that support is both seen and unseen — and that love does not end at the edge of the visible.
